THE BENEFITS OF
Ashtanga Mysore
Mysore is a traditional way of teaching yoga. Yogis (students) practise in the shala at their own pace with one to one guidance given as and when needed. As with most forms of yoga, Ashtanga will gradually improve your flexibility over time.
CONTRAINDICATIONS OF
Ashtanga Mysore
Yoga students come to class with a variety of physical conditions and in most cases common sense combined with controlled and pain free range of movement will keep yoga students safe in my class. If there are medical conditions to which the student may come to harm it is important to inform the tutor at the beginning of the session.

My background is in teaching. I have taught, SEN, primary, secondary, post-16 and English as a second language for a combination of 20 years. At the age of 28 I began to study Karate, I reached 2nd Dan (Black Belt). After back surgery I realised I could no longer teach Karate the way I used too, unfortunately.
I am a mum, nan and a great nan all of which I love. At the ripe young age of 57 I performed a backbend which I had not been able to achieve for over 20 years, this is the miracle of yoga. Yes, if I can do it, you can too. Yoga really is for everyone, so why not give it a try?
