My husband and I thought it was perhaps time we both tried out yoga. That was some 6 years ago now.

He went to work one day and did not come back. He had a fatal accident at work. It still hurts as much today as when it first happened.

Yoga helped me put my life back together again. I’m not 100% there, I don’t think I ever shall be without my soul mate, I am somewhere near though.

Did you know that 94% of yoga practitioners say they do yoga for wellness-related reasons? (comparecamp.com).

I began yoga. I found it had an amazing effect on me, although I silently cried every time in savasana, (corpse pose, relaxation, usually at the end).

I realised my body was expressing not only how I felt but beginning to relax a little. Bit by bit and week by week I began to look forward to going.

I heard the instruction “listen to your breath”. I did, it gave me a chance to switch off from my many thoughts and just concentrate on hearing my breath and doing the pose.

Wow! I felt as if the breath was following the direction of my body. I imagined a ball of breath reaching out to whatever part of my body I was concentrating on.

My breath allowed me to flow through my yoga.

It felt, magical, almost ethereal.

I kept going, it continued to help and although pleased, I wanted to understand more.

Why and how is this happening? (The answers in future posts).

Have you had a similar experience I wonder?
